Shuttercard Pattern

Shutter Card Instructions

Prepare notecard.

  1. Cut oval shape from front of folded 6" x 6" card using Coluzzle™ Cutting System and oval stencil.  (I used the second from largest oval opening for this pattern.)  Stamp front of card as desired.

Prepare shutters.

  1.  Cut 12 pieces of Background & Texture paper 2" x 3 3/4" .  Fold each piece in half.

Assemble card and shutters.

  1. Print off pattern above.  Enlarge if desired or simply use as a placement guide for shutters.
  2. Lay pattern on work surface facing up.  Position notecard FACE-DOWN, centered over oval pattern.
  3. Apply adhesive to short ends of one shutter at a time.  Begin attaching shutters according to numbers on pattern.
  4. Cut a 6x6 (or slightly smaller) piece of coordinating cardstock.  Glue it to the backside of the front of your notecard, covering up the raw ends of the shutters.  This will also serve as the focal point of the center of your card front when the card is complete.  (On my example I have the "always" image stamped.
